Maternity Resources
The Centreville Clinic shares maternity resources with Orchard Maternity Vernon. If you are a maternity patient at Centreville, you can view all the patient resources on this page.
Before Your First Appointment
Congratulations on your pregnancy! We are pleased to welcome you to the Centreville Clinic, one of two clinics providing care within Vernon’s family medicine maternity program. Our team is honoured to support you throughout your pregnancy and early postpartum period.
Once your referral is received, you will be assigned to either Orchard Maternity Vernon, the Centreville Clinic, or Dr. Jane Hofer for the remainder of your pregnancy and up to six weeks postpartum, after which you will be discharged from our care. A member of our maternity team will contact you to arrange a dating ultrasound, typically completed between 10 and 12 weeks of pregnancy. All maternity care is delivered by Family Physicians with specialized training and a special interest in maternity and newborn care.
We encourage you to explore our website ahead of your intake appointment for helpful information, including an overview of routine prenatal care, genetic screening options, patient resources, frequently asked questions, and what to expect during your hospital stay.
We look forward to caring for you and supporting you and your growing family during this special time.
What to Expect
Wondering what comes next? The What to Expect page walks you through each stage of care — from routine prenatal visits and hospital birth to postpartum follow-up and breastfeeding support. You’ll find a trimester-by-trimester timeline, details about your delivery at Vernon Jubilee Hospital, and information on postpartum care, public health resources, and next steps after delivery.
Patient Resources
Our Patient Resources page offers trusted tools, education, and support to help you feel informed and confident throughout pregnancy and after birth. It includes recommended apps and classes, screening and nutrition information, breastfeeding and mental health support, and access to Indigenous and community resources. You’ll also find answers to common questions, practical hospital packing tips, and important contact information when you need it most.
Frequently Asked Questions
Our Frequently Asked Questions page addresses common questions about pregnancy, labour & delivery, and the initial postpartum period with your newborn, helping you understand what to expect and when to seek care. It also provides clear guidance on urgent concerns, hospital preparation, and decision-making, so you can feel informed, supported, and confident throughout your pregnancy journey.
